The class format for the 6h of Portimão

The class format will borrow from our existing GT and GT4 Winter Series. GT3 cars will be permitted in the top class, with a bevy of additional classes for GT2 machinery, as well as the fastest single-make GT racing cars from Porsche, Lamborghini and Ferrari. GT4 cars and the ever-popular Porsche Cayman GT4 CS will also be permitted. In addition and contrary to the classes in the GT and GT4 Winter Series classes for the BMW M2 CS Racing, BMW M2 Racing and the Ligier JS2R will be established.

Cars that fit within the performance window of the 6 Hour Winter Series, that are not defined above, will be permitted to enter in the catch-all ‘GT X’ class. Prototypes will continue to race exclusively within the Prototype Winter Series, ensuring that GT teams can take the spotlight.

As with many other GEDLICH Racing projects, the 6h races in Portimão and Barcelona will have per race both an overall champion and class winners to ensure that trophies can be fought for in all classes.

The 6h Races are independent race events and not part of the GTWS or GT4WS championship.

The facts

• Free practice of one hour, 3 qualifying of 15 min on Saturday and an Endurance race of 6 hours on Sunday
• Test sessions on Friday included in the entry fee
• Pirelli tyres mandatory
• Drive with two, three, four or five drivers

• Participation possible with national licence, effective to obtain the International C licence
