The highly-decorated Mücke Motorsport team will be on the grid for the sophomore season of the GT4 Winter Series.

The team will take advantage of a new addition to the GT4 Winter Series, the Club class for out-of-homologation GT4 cars, to enter a first-generation Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 for Thilo Goos. As is the case with the Mücke team itself, Goos is based in Berlin. He is a well-known fixture across German motorsport, regularly racing his Aston Martin in multiple series.

Mücke Motorsport is no stranger to the Gedlich Racing paddocks, having previously competed in both the GT4 and GT Winter Series. Mücke Motorsport’s racing history stretches across sportscar, touring car and single-seater racing, with extensive successes in DTM, Formula 3 and more.

Efforts are also being made to bring a Mücke Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 to the GT4 Winter Seres, which will begin its second season at Estoril from the 16-19th January.

2024 GT Winter Series Drivers and Teams’ champions SR Motorsport will return to the grid in 2025.

In the previous season of Gedlich Racing’s premier GT competition, SR Motorsport secured both championships thanks to the efforts of Jay Mo Hartling and Kenneth Heyer in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo. The 2025 driver line-up is yet to be revealed, but it is expected that two GT3 Mercedes will be in action from the team based in Niederzissen, Germany.

SR Motorsport – previously known as Schnitzelalm Racing – has been a consistent part of the GT Winter Series for a very long time now. During the 2021/2022 season, the championship returned to Niederzissen courtesy of Michael Sander and Marcel Marchewicz.

Can the SR Motorsport team win another GT Winter Series title in 2025? You can find out in real-time, as all rounds of the upcoming season will be broadcast live. Subscribe to the Winter Series YouTube channel to see all of the action!

Gedlich Racing has confirmed that it will welcome a new class into the 2025 GT4 Winter Series.

The Club class will add a new dimension to the SRO-licenced GT4 Winter Series grid, allowing out-of-homologation GT4 machinery to compete in its own class. Cars from the earlier years of GT4 competition will be welcomed onto the grid, alongside the existing PRO, PRO-AM and AM classes for modern GT4 models, and the Cayman Trophy class for the popular Porsche Cayman GT4 CS.

The addition of the Club class means that numerous models and hundreds of chassis from the likes of Aston Martin, Ginetta, Maserati, KTM and BMW are now eligible for one of Gedlich Racing’s most competitive grids.

The Club class will be ideally suited to teams and drivers who race for the thrill and fun first and foremost, thus furthering an “all are welcome” philosophy that has been evident throughout the history of the Gedlich Racing Winter Series.

The second season of the GT4 Winter Series will begin at the Circuito Estoril on the 16-19th January, with all five rounds of the season broadcast live and free on YouTube. Subscribe to the Winter Series channel to see all of the action in 2025!

SVG Motorsport is set to make its GT4 Winter Series debut in January, entering a Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo into the PRO-AM class.

The team based in Burstow, Surrey will field Marc Elman and Owen Hizzey into the SRO-licenced competition, marking SVG Motorsport’s first international GT racing contests. Hizzey and Elman will continue a three-year partnership, which has encompassed both driver coaching and co-driving in endurance races.

Both the team and drivers have had success with Ginetta machinery, winning a class championship together in the 2023 British Endurance Championship. Additionally, Elman took seven victories in the 2024 Ginetta GT Academy, securing the runners-up spot in the championship with the help of Hizzey’s coaching.

Team manager Andy Johnson said: “We are over the moon to enter the GT4 Winter Series in our new Ginetta GT4 Evo. With a strong car and driver line-up, we will be competitive. This is our first time taking [SVG Motorsport] abroad to compete in GT racing, and we’re really looking forward to learning along the way as well.”

UNIQ Racing will compete in the 2025 GT Winter Series, deploying a Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo2 for Jerzy Spinkiewicz.

Spinkiewicz elected to move up to Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe in 2024, alongside the UNIQ squadron that he has raced with since his early karting career. The all-Polish team and driver combination previously raced in the Renault Clio Cup Series, where UNIQ Racing has long been a front-running team.
